2. The actual day of vaccination

1. Please arrive punctually for your vaccination. Your punctuality will ensure minimal patient mingling and exposure in our waiting room.
2. Present your NRIC for verification and payment will be collected in advance.
3. AsiaMedic vaccinators will administer the vaccine and advise you on side effects to watch for.

3. Post-vaccination

1. Rest in the observation area for 30 minutes.
2. Discharge - Receive your vaccination certificate upon your discharge.

What is Sinopharm COVID-19 Vaccine?

Sinopharm is the sixth vaccine to be authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) for its emergency use listing and received WHO validation for its safety, efficacy and quality.

Sinopharm is an inactivated vaccine developed by the Beijing Bio-Institute of Biological Products Co Ltd, a subsidiary of China National Biotec Group (CNBG).

Who is eligible for taking Sinopharm?

Sinopharm vaccine is suitable for individuals age 18 years and above, with no history of anaphylaxis.

Patient with co-morbidities, including conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart disease, chronic kidney disease, etc.

Patients who have previously had SARS-CoV-2 infection in the past are eligible for vaccination post 6 months after recovery.

How effective is Sinopharm vaccine?

Up to 75% vaccine efficacy against symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection 14 or more days after the second dose; and against hospitalisation

What are the recommended dosage?

For people who have not had COVID-19 vaccine, 2 doses with an interval of 3-4 weeks between the first and second dose

What are the side effects?

Some common adverse reactions to the vaccine include pain, redness, swelling at the injection site, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, nausea, dizziness. These side effects are similar to those of other authorised vaccines against COVID-19, and most are mild to moderate.

What to do before my appointment?

No fasting is required. We advise you to drink enough. Ensure you have adequate rest and are generally well before the administration of vaccine.
